I don't recall if anyone has gotten into that house by using the teleporter stones...
Moving around may help. Trying to get up onto the mountains on the western edge of the Dark Forest I had to move my character around a bit and search with the mouse in order to successfully drag and drop a teleporter stone onto the mountain.
