I disagree. One of the top arguments going around these days is the colour palette of Diablo 3, which was changed from the dark gray, brown, blacks of the previous installments to the much more vibrant colours of the upcoming release.
That doesn't count to me, because it
a) still is dark
b) it uses a rather comic-like look.
What I mean is something I call "Light Fantasy". In terms of colours & setting(s).
"Comic Fantasy" ist just another (yet new) setting/genre in itself in my opinion.
