Drink a shadow potion to become invisible and complete the quest, then come back later and clear out the orc camp. Heavy and Elite orcs are in their 20's level-wise, and there are some in the heart of the camp in their 30's.

Level adequacy really depends on your character build though. A level 8 mage with lightning, freeze, and some mana potions could clear out the war-camp easily while a warrior would probably need to wait until he's about the same level as his foe.

The survivor's skill "know creature" may be worth investing in - it will show the creature's level and stats up to a certain point - it can let you know when a creature will be beyond your ability even before you start fighting.

You could also check the bestiary to see how powerful your enemies are.

I would stay in the northern, more populated areas and woods killing snakes and boars to gain experience, before I went to places like the troll cave, the orc camp, or the cursed abbey.
