I have a problem, and I'm not the only one.Everyone that has a version of 1.0034A has some major problem playing.I can't watch ingame vidoes, like the Intro wich makes me stuck.I mean excactly stuck. When you get "killed/blessed" by the Council you actualy get transported a little to the North of the Council Hall(black area), to watch the Janus incoming cutscene. Then you are sapoused to get transported to the wastelands.Maybe inbetwen there is a video so i can't "move".Is there any fix or maybe a crack for this.My savegame version is 0.935.Maybe it will help if I downgrade version?

The 1.34 patch did not introduce any new problems (and fixed most of the old), and the majority of people have not had serious problems with it. Earlier game versions may crash trying to load later save games.

There is a video played after the council hall cutscene. Usually people only have a problem here if they are using the no-CD hack, or the configuration file edit. With the latest game version, the edit to skip the intro videos also eliminates the need for the Play CD, except for the same two places as the no-CD hack (here and at the final boss fight, to get the end game video).

What happens if you click on 'View Intro' in the main menu?

Does your computer see the play CD when you have it in an optical drive? There are several CD/DVD testing programs (such as Media Checker), or you can try copying the 5 *.bik files from the \disc3\static folder on the play CD to somewhere on your hard drive.

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?

Try running the configuration program and switching the game resolution to 640x480, and see if that helps.

From the readme.txt file in the DD folder:
Quote
Problem: The cinematics do not play well. The cinematics are more like a slide show, block or even exit the application.
Cause: the Bink player cannot play the movie optimally
Solution:
1) download and install the latest version of the binkw32.dll: www.radgametools.com
2) download and install the latest drivers of your video card
3) on the ATI Radeon cards, setting the monitor refresh rate to 60 Hz solved the issue:
..a) right click on your desktop, select properties, settings
..b) click the advanced button, and choose monitor
..c) set the refresh frequency to 60 Hz, test and apply
