It#S a shame. I understand the walls for quest reasons, but actually bringing death and destrcution to gorund units was what i was looking forward to. Im sure the Roleplayingpart will be awesome, but i am not really a roleplaying-fan, i was interested in the flying part. Well guess this means i wont get the game right from the start...
Maybe those limits will be removed later with a mod or something.

Well Drakan is a gppd example that there are ways to not make it too easy. The ground units would just need some effective anti-air weapons combined with powerful air opponents. Catapults or something. But yes Drakan is an action game i give you that.

Well as much as I'd like to bring chaos to helpless little peasants on the ground...

You admit that you aren't a "real" role player.

Role playing is - as the term says - about playing arole. "Broinging death and destruction" is not about playing a role, it's imho rather something about expressing your agressive feelings.

You can try an strategy game for that, but not a role-playing game.

Unfortunately, Blizzard erected a sub-genre within the role-playing genre that just supports people who are not playing a role, but rather play out their agressions and power and might fantasies. It's called the "Action-RPG" sub-genre.

Well games like Drakan proove there is a possbility not to make it too easy. With effective anti-air-weapons for ground units, like catapults for example, combined with powerful air units. But yes Drakan is also an Action game i give you that...

All Divinity games are action-RPG's as well. It has a lot more RPG than Diablo has, but it still has a lot of action.
