ok dudes before I ask my question I would like to tell u that I'm not the sorta computer guy xD
so plz don't use all those advanced terms in your reply...
if there is a reply... xP
ok basic problem is:
I install the game and everything... it creates a shortcut in my desktop... when I try to open the game this window comes up:
Divine Divinity Configuration V1.1
and it has all these complicated options... like new rendering system or prefered display resolution or PMode Dot Determined...
I left it as default;
New Rendering System: Direct 3D
Prefered Display resolution: 640x480
PMode not Determined:Smoothness
then I click on "Test".... another window comes up saying:
Now Testing Direct3D 6.0 or better... and it says I'll return to desktop in 10 seconds....
... when the test begins it took about 10 MINUTES!!!
I even left testing overnight (about 7 hours!!!) but no matter what I do it stays blank black... :P
I am 100% sure it's not a problem with my computers speed as all other programs work properly xD
Am I missing something?

BTW: I use Windows XP

Well if you don't have 20 years old computer then instead of 640x480 resolution put 1024x768.
And about this test... well I just selected 'skip test' box or something like that, then select 'test' and after that 'Apply and close'.
I was unable too run this test normaly (same thing, never ended) so I just skipped it...

This black screen problem is with the configuration program on some Radeon card / driver combinations, or less often on some Geforce card / drivers. As Wishmaster said, if you skip the test the game itself should be fine.
