so you rely on opinions of strangers?

thats actually not a very good idea!
and my personal biggest problem with games that were released in the last years.

so many high ratings, so many positiv opinions in forums, but i almost hated them all.

it seems that gamers out there are not into quality anymore.

if you like to play, you have to eat that crap, and pretend its soo delicious, only because the reviews say it so...

Only RPG's I've liked in recent years (since the NWN-Gothic II-Morrowind triad, basically) have been Drakensang and The Witcher... Even NWN2 was a bunch of crap. I really hope I'll get to see two more great games this year, in the form of Ego Draconis and Dragon Age. I won the Dragon Age book in a contest, and the story seems to be pretty nice. ED is the only one I'll get right at release at full price, though. Hopefully there's a collector's edition available in Flanders. And hopefully it'll include the original Divinity :p

If you read multiple (p)reviews, you can form a general idea about the game. Reviewers often tell how certain aspects are worked out(i.e. combat, magic system, storydepth) and even though the reviewer may not like a specific aspect, you might. I don't base my purchases on scores or percentages, I just try to find out how different aspects of the game are handled by reading multiple (p)reviews so I can make my decision to buy a game or not.

Information and Videos are only the Cover of the book, the interior will be when I actually play the game, and until then I won´t be able to have a general idea of the game because I haven´t even played it yet.

Really? I must need to go see a doctor then.
Bioshock was sub-par in my opinion.
Fallout 3...alright game, but feels tacked on to me. They didn't even bother to change anything compared to Oblivion. It's clear it uses the same engine and everything. Oblivion with Guns = Fallout 3. I prefer Fallout 2 by a long shot.

Anyway, on topic:
I agree demos are good, but they can't be released so early. I could understand a German version demo, but not an English one (And you are on the English forums). It's wayyy too far away for them to release an English Demo.

It might be a good idea to bring out a demo for playstation 3 and such. I go to the movies often and there's a whole stand full of PS3's with demos that are being played pretty much non-stop all day. I don't know how you get into those big businesses, but it appears to be pretty good for promotional purposes. I don't know how useful it will be on PC. Perhaps if it's brought out on Steam, it could generate more of a buzz for the game.

Yet the game isn't on PS3.

Bring them out on 360 Kiosks they still have a lot near me.
That would generate interest.

Someone needs a doctor for thinking that everyone needs to have the same tastes, I for example loved Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, but Fallout 3 was more like a downgrade in comparison to those games due to the things they took away from the old fallouts.

That doesn't count for Bethesda.

All that counts is sales.

Probably, but in the end, the RPG crowd is very selective and if you dont make new fans with follow-ups and disapoint the older fans, the franchise will eventualy die (for those who remember Lands of Lore franchise that died off due to a couple of extremely bad sequels that didnt apeal to the original fans)

Oh ... lands of lore 1, good times. Formidable game.

I liked the first game as well, except the end became kind of hard. I never finished it therefore this far.

And yes, I've become selective, too. The more the older I grow.
