@Forktong: Thanks for your reply. My onboard sound device is disabled and my Xi-Fi drivers are up to date. I did what you said and reinstalled the PhysX and Visual C++ drivers and yesterday, the Game did not crash again so maybe this did the trick already. BTW, I do not have any problem with seeing the Videos in the Game. The error message came up during gaming when I was exploring Rivellion. What I do not understand is how I should install DirectX 9.0c. During the installation of the Game, my DirectX drivers were updated using the files stored on the Divinty 2 CD but since I run Vista, there is Directx 10 installed. I always thought it is compatible with lower versions and am not aware that you can "downgrade" your DirectX version or have a choice to run Vista with either DirectX 9 or 10. If there is a setting I am missing, please let me know.
