No SecuROM window when the DVD is in the drive. Without it it asks me for the CD and everything works fine.

I tried to turn of the soundcard, restart, start the game. Same error as before. Divinity2.exe shows in taksbar but nothing starts and I can't open any new windows. Neither the CPU nor my DVD drive is used. It just rotates for 2 secs. when I start the game and then... nothing. The CPU is about 2-3% the whole time.
I think I have to build the soundcard out of my PC to really test it, but as the other guy before have the same problem with diffrent hardware I guess it's from something diffrent. Maybe SecuROM problems, maybe Driverproblems. I think it's from the drivers. Like the logitech webcamdriver made music production with midikeyboards impossible some time ago. Maybe some mainboarddrivers or any other driver from my/our PCs somehow disallows Divinity2 or SecuROM to work correctly. Is any other thing starting when Divinity2.exe is in the taskbar? Because my PC just shows 44 processes instead of 43 before. Many games launch 2 processes. Maybe there is a problem that the second process isn't launched. (if there is any)

I tried with and without patch now again. I will wait a week if someone can find a solution. If not I will kill my PC again and hope it works then...

EDIT:
Oh yeah, nice that finaly some developers show up to help smile

EDIT2:
Could the DVD drive cause the problem? It works with every other game I have, but maybe there is some messed up code in the game which won't allow some Drives to let the check from securom do what it wants to do. Just random thinking, nothing specific smile
