Is there any trick in beating Stone I'm missing? I'm level 25 and melee based with 500 health & around 40% melee reduction (which can even be increased with potions) but I find this fight impossible... Stone does at least 100 damage to me with each hit & comes with his own army of minions.

I can beat the minions but as soon as Stone meddles in the fight I'm dead. It's also impossible to use ranged since he has rush attack. I don't understand... if this 'boss' is so powerful, why not include a one-on-one fight?

Am I missing something?

He is the general of "Stones flying fortress". I need his ring for Igor (necromancer) in my dragon tower.+

I summoned both my beast and demon, then sat back with my best bow and plucked away at him. Add a dexterity and resistance potion, and quick access to your healing skill, and Stone will be quite beatable.

I did however enter the arena at level 27. Maybe that was the difference for me.

Yes, I eventually beat him using a similar strategy (although I could not summon a demon). It took a fair amount of health potions, though.

This enemy was unexpectedly overpowered, I guess... just like Charlie the goblin. smile

Stone was quite easy but I was 29 or 31 with best posible equipment. Well pretty much my human form is unvulnurable to anything and does about 400-550 damage. Wish my dragon was as strong(

Overpowered? Lol....I didn't even saw him fight...I casted one fireball and 2 magic missiles (each did around 200 damage/missile so that's 800 damage per wave) and next thing I know was Talana comment about his death...couln't even see what skills he got lol.

I think I was level 30-31 though

he flying fortresses are meant to be done in earlier levels. Everyone of them also give a piece of uldors set. The bad thing is that I did those fortresesjust before the hall of echoes so I didn't get much use of the best set in game(

I was playing as 'pure' warrior (never use magic) and was only level 25 so it was not so easy. smile

When I replay the game I'll play as battle mage. Magic is much more powerful than melee or ranged in this game, it seems.

nah.. those sets arent so great.. only the DMG is the best thing in full set, but defences are not so good.. with other items like legendary etc.. i have much better defence but a little bit lower damage.. no big difference
