Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems New Game using Act 5 files = Rift Problems

I recently reinstalled on my laptop.
I have lost my old savedgames so I wanted to make a new game but straight to the Battlefields Act.
So I just renamed a few folders: Act5 to Act1 and the Bd_act5_start to Bd_act1_start, and vice versa.

So when I started the new game I started in Act 5.
All goes wrong if i try to enter a rift, it goes through a almost instant loading screen but I end up back in front of the rift.

I can't remember if you need an item to go through rifts in act 5
or if you actually needed to find those battlefields keys in previous acts.

You do not need an item to get through rifts in the after-game BF. I think the problem is more with the method of getting to the temple. Maybe if I have time later I'll take a look at this...

I have my old saves, if you don't mind playing a female archer. Here is a temporary link for my save at the start of the after game BF (1.25MB).

The save did not work, I still get the same problem.
Maybe you need to finish the game before it works, enabling that "Enter Battlefield" option.
Would you happen to have a save right before the end of the game?

Did you switch back the folders you renamed? That may be part of the problem, or will at least cause one if you decide to start a new game from the beginning.

Switching the act files got your save working but it would crash while loading mine.
So I just made kept act 5 files in both act1 and act5 folders and now it works.

Now the game does not seem to be spawning items with bonuses, I have only encountered stuff with charm slots.
I going to see what happens with those quests that have you find an item that usually comes with some bonuses.
