don't have time to go into detail about what was said, but for the people who are interested:

PC Gameplay gives Ego Draconis a 78%.

Positive points: Dragons are cool, story is epic, quests are good, soundtrack is fantastic
Negative points: Number of graphic problems, not well balanced yet.

It deserves to mention that the reviewers noted that, if, for the international release, Larian could get rid of most of the graphical issues, and improve balance a bit, the game could very score in the top echelons of RPG games. The review is generally very positive, and they said, if they hadn't had to rush the German version a bit, and got a little more time to finish fine-tuning the game, it would get a much better score.

PC Gameplay added that they were especially enthralled with the epic story, and that they felt the quests were very crafty and intelligent. They also mentioned that you can summon a ghost to heal you, but its AI is a bit flaky, so that you may get healed right after swallowing one of your expensive healing potions. The reviewer felt that the balance could've been better, as you go from one-hit-kills to getting one-hit-killed from one minute to the next. He felt that a little more straight balance in enemy difficulty would've done the game good.

About the quests:
"This is not a game that takes you by the hand and pampers you. At some point, you find a talisman with the message: "Quest Item" under it. You have no idea what to do with it. A little further on you find a book which tells a story about two goblin tribes that wanted to kill eachother with the assistance of a devil that they wanted to summon using talismans. You learn from the book that you have to collect three talismans and show them to a statue in the correct order. You'll have to do a little detective work, but the reward is well worth it.: a beautiful necklace we still proudly wear 15 levels later. And it gets spicier: To defeat a certain wizard, who has transformed himself to a dragon, you have to bring him back to his human form again. After a little simple searching you come to the conclusion that you have to make a brew. One of the ingredients are dragonscales. No problem, were it not that you can only find these scales in the vicinity of Amdusias, the dragon. From the moment you set foot in the room, he attacks you with ten thousand fireballs per microsecond and death is not far away. You cant sprint and use healing potions, you die!. The only way we've found to survive is using the skill "Hide in Shadows", which makes the dragon take a while to notice you and you have enough hit points left to get to the dragonscales"

Above is just an explanation of two quests, I put it in spoiler tags for the people who don't want any information on that.

See ya!

Lmao! They couldn't figure out that magic protection weakens the dragon attack? I sprinted threw there using like 3 limited heal potions.

Levels really do make a difference in this game. It's hard coded into the game, because using the same bow on a specific "fuzzy" boss that was level 22 did different damage. I didn't raise dex, just str which doesn't effect range damage.

The must have found that "fuzzy" boss pretty early to be 1 hit killed. That thing is more like level 28 then 22.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

Well, I really don't know, because I haven't played the game as it came out in Germany... I'm waiting for the English version. Definitely don't want it to be too easy though... but one hit kills are a bit annoying, IMO. Like the killer boars in Gothic III... That was just stupid.

Well the game isn't easy. Monsters like to "dog pile" on you and do it very well. If playing as a warrior, you need a little dexterity to use a bow. Just not worth rushing in to be surrounded by mages or archers.

Even as the dragon, you can find yourself dead pretty quickly.

Some areas you gotta really think, "how the hell do I wanna kill all these off now?"

You need a bow as warrior? I have that "rush attack" skill (on 1) and it's solving all those issues. You are always in close combat with anything... so no need for a bow.

no worries. the game is definitely not easy but it's also not hardcore, especially if you don't gimp yourself and do all the sidequests.

One of my worst nightmares was the wild boars from HELL in G3 with CP1.7, oh the shivers.......

ABout the game, from what i've gathered as long as you dont rush into things expecting everything to die in 2 seconds, you'll do OK.
