Who is a good digital distributor of the german version? I would like to play with the audio in german but english subtitles. I am learning german, but it so basic I would need the subs. Also, I think the original actors could be better than the english ones.

If anyone has any experience with a site that will let you download let me know. I found gameload (i think) but I am not sure about the speed.

Thanks!

There are some glitches with the English hack of npc's not working and you need to modify files. It is best to either buy the full German version or the full English version of the game. I know there is a problem that crashes the game at the very end with the English hack.

Once converted into German, If you'd try to use a new patch (one going to be released soon) it might mess the game up on you even more.

As for where you can buy the download, might find the answer in the German forums or if www.divinity2.com has a link to it.

With my experience with the English hack, 1 npc would lock the game up on me. Fortunately it wasn't a major npc and just didn't talk to him.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

Bummer. Maybe I should just wait for the English release.

I always like movies/games in their native languages with subs even though I cant understand. It always comes across better for some reason.

Which NPC is it LightningLockey? I haven't had any crash b/c of an NPC yet, but I have not yet finished the game either.

thanks

The English and German versions of the game were developed at the same time. The German version was released first because the German publisher was in place fairly early (a couple years ago), while there were apparently problems with the English publishers (no official announcement yet; last we heard, a month or so ago, they were still finalizing stuff).

After the international release there may be an official patch to switch the text language in the game. I would guess that is why the English text is included in the German release, anyway.

I said screw it and bought it online from gamesload.de. I got the english text and lipsync working, repacked and fixed the end movie.

Works great so far.
