Where and how do I purchase this game for my PC? If it is available for download purchase? German, or English versions are fine. How many DVDs will I need for copy? Thank you

The German version is out and available online (amazon.de, etc) in retail stores and I believe there are a couple places with a digital download, as well. The Divinity 2 website has (or at least did have) a list of places it can be purchased somewhere on the German language version, or you can check the German D2:ED forums (presumably the announcements forum should list places to buy the game).

We are expecting an announcement about the English / international release during GamesCon (tomorrow through the weekend).

The XBox version fits on a single DVD, so I presume that should be enough to backup a digital download, as well.

Tried to find it but no luck ;(

Try asking in the Help/Tips/Tricks forum; some of the people there must have at least looked into getting the digital download version, rather than importing (unless they wanted the CE).
I recall that a couple digital download places were mentioned, but not what they were or anything unique about the comments that could be useful for a forum search...

Metaboli was mentioned a few times.

I bought it at gamesload.de. The digital download was fast as well.

About gamesload.de, how do you buy stuff from them? I already have div 2, but I was playing around with the site, and seems like they want you go download an .exe file before you can even make a purchase?

Also, what kind of DRM do they use? I mean, do you have to deal with activation every time you install a game?

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Yes, I had to download a download manager (similar to direct2drive). After you pay it allows you start the download (but you can get the manager beforehand, not sure why).


Im not sure about the DRM, but the patches have to be downloaded from gamesload (they had the latest one). There was no activation of any kind, although I did have to use their download manager to install the game.
