It isn't copy protection, you have the game partially English hacked. I'm not gonna tell you how to hack it here (or in PM's) as that be crossing the line. You got quite a bit of work yet before the game will become playable.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?
