I'm all for everyone speaking one language, because of the huge value of everyone being able to understand one another. It couldn't be any presently existing language, though, because to choose one would sacrifice the vast nuances and meanings that are unique to other languages. The only way to proceed toward one language is to begin integrating them into one. The practice of loanwords is a step towards this end; you seem to see it most significantly in English and Japanese. Stubbornly insisting that any one existing language is best (or that any given culture should stick to and exclusively foster its own language) only prolongs a world of splintered and disparate cultures that have a really hard time connecting and understaning one another. If you like this diversity, then fine (I can appreciate it) but you have to take the good (uniqueness of cultures) with the bad (misunderstandings and failed communication, prejudice and intolerance of whatever isn't the 'norm' for that culture, etc.)
