Does anybody like the game Venetica its made by Deck13 published by DTP(Same as Divinity 2) In Venetica, death is embodied in the flesh as a servant to an ancient secret council known as Corpus. Each generation of the Corpus must choose death's predecessor, but when the Corpus unknowingly chooses a necromancer, it disobeys the Corpus' order and decides to bring chaos and destruction down on the world. It is said that no mere mortal can kill the necromancer. That's where you step in. You play Scarlett, the daughter of Death, and you start off the game with no knowledge of your origins. As you progress through the game you learn new powers and abilities, which will eventually allow you to save your father and stop the evil necromancer and his dastardly minions. Seems like an Action RPG Screens check google What do you think of it?

I think any games company who does not know the difference between a successor and a predecessor is in trouble...
It's too blatant a Terry Pratchett pinch, except that Susan is a LOT more interesting. I passed.

Terry Pratchett is an author, primarily of the Discworld series of books. His daughter Rhianna wrote the BD novella (available in the D2:ED fansite kit) 'Child of the Chaos', covering the time period between DD and BD). As for Venetica, I watched a gameplay video, but straight Action RPGs really have to do something unique to hold my interest for more than a couple minutes (I've stopped reading reviews mid-sentence when the term 'action RPG' was used).

I think I'll buy it, because it is a game by the ANKH makers. I liked these games very much, so I know what to expect.

Rhianna also did a lot of work on the utterly awesome Overlord. She seems to have inherited a lot of her Father's talent I've got plenty of Action-RPGs. I doubt Venetica will ever join their ranks.

DivineGamer; Well, it was 3 days between watching the trailer and posting about it, and I mostly remembered the (predominant) gameplay sequences. Lynn; I'm not sure if I like the background, or if I should replace it with a solid colour (which would lower the file size a bit). Rather than just make it bigger, I also considered using more of the image: ![[Linked Image]](http://members.shaw.ca/divineone/temp.jpg)

I'd go for using more of the image if I were you, Raze. That looks pretty awesome.
...Although... They both look awesome... I'm undecided...

Where did you play a demo? This game interests me, seems like an easy and fun adventure / RPG game. Easy meaning the pace isn't too high and it doesn't challenge the gamer to press dozens of buttons at a time. :P

The demo is downloadable. I think from the official web site.
