I don"t think so
I saw that option in few games and work perfectly

Like which? And don't say NWN, because pulling stuff like that only works for expansions.

Ah. Well, I wouldn't know, 'cause I didn't even play that one. But I'm guessing it's based on an entirely different type of system for determining skills and attributes.

What can you actually transfer from one game to another? Appearance, name, attributes, skills, gear, accomplishments...?

All those little details that made RPG games like accomplishments and name
SPOILER:
when you finish quest "to deliver message to blacksmith" girl and blacksmith are together RIGHT?
but what if you can find blacksmith and girl together in divinity 2
or what if you tell blacksmith about his wife
and in divinity 2 we find that blacksmith and girl escaped and they don"t wanna talk with you,or we find blacksmith dead and girl ex-husband drinking on street with blood on his hand

There are different ways to solve the quest. The ideal solution is that they end up together, yes, but they can end up together and be angry with you, too. If you're not satisfied with the solution... try again

swordscythe is right, it is no so easy. Just look @ Gothic series, when migrating from g1 to g2 we didn't save any of our stats and skills because there is no point in battle/skill/expirience system if your hero is strong enough. Devs were forced to make a reason why hero is so weak in G2.

A bit different thing happened between G2->G3. I remember that Gothic community was a bit bitchy about first scenario, when hero's ship was wrecked. "That reason is too pre-decided", they say. So, devs again was forced to find a good, plot-related and not so stupid-looking reason how to transfer a hero and his state between games.

There is so many aspects, and such. Seriously, it not so easy. I prefer to start new chapter/episode from a "blank list" even if it is not so realistic. Better to sacrifice realism but not gameplay.

ME2 isn't the standard here. The game differs, their gameplay, roleplay, battle system and plot/setting differs too. There was many games in the past where you able to transfer/import your char from previous, but that doesn't mean it is must be or possible in Divinity games.

Not to mention, considering the 'ending' of Div 2, I don't see how the character could be imported anyway..

You could always cheat and simply twink a character to fit the one you had in a previous game, assuming the premise lends itself to it.

I guess now I can say that: the sequel release date is 2010. This date should appear in interview with Sven in №11 Igromania magazine.

And you are sure it is a sequel and not an add-on?

The original words sounds like: "we will get the continuation of the story in next year". Story/plot of DD2. So, I guess, it's a sequel.

P.S. Any addon or mod can be sequel. "Sequel" is a plot/story-related thing, addon/mod is a content/container-related thing. Meaning differs.

True, but the topic of this thread is Divinity 3 and that does not equal an add-on.

Lol? I made this topic not about Divinity 3 only but about the sequel as well. It's just named as "episode 2" and mine reasons I explained in first post.

Mass Effect wil only transfer the charactar its history, and its made choices in the first part to mass effect 2. there wil be no status or skills. and if there wil be. then the skills from the first part wil be so weak that they wont wil be worth it at that lvl in the second. (i got this from a solid source)

and btw: its and rpg! how the hell are you gonna play an rpg without adding stats and skills wich u wil need to learn?

i think that if they gonna readd skills and stats to me2 from me. that it wil stil look like you started. because the (mobs) wil be higher lvl, rated, skilled, whateva... so that it wil just feel like your a lowby again. but thats my theory...

this ending could seem THE END but i think that you can stil go all different ways with it.

anyways. i just LOVED the game. GREAT JOB LARIAN! and im impatiently waiting for and sequell/add on. or just div3.
