Can anyone list all the people on the island and what their differences are? And also perhaps suggest the best combination from them??

Allan is a hoax, read his mind, you can also find the book at his campsite that says he is a dud
the captain for the trainer, let her and the other tratiner have a duel, she kills the other guy
the two enchanters have a contest that one wins, the one that does not have a wife
the last I don't know

Allan may be a hoax, he's still the best for his Allan brew.

I chose hermosa, for all the reasons stated above. (and she has better quest rewards). I let her beat the other guy in combat first... (it changed the reward from finishing the quest btw... not that it matters)
I chose Igor, because I just like him better, rewards are the same, and he gives magic resist to creature (vs physical resist of the other).
I chose Barbosa or whatever he is called, not allen, because he has 5 degrees, while allen thinks "man I am such a terrible liar"... plus, better quest rewards. And I read that allen brew is bugged (and I still couldn't find any description of what it does)
I chose Wessen, because while his sword was not as good, he is much better at armor and gems than he is at swords. Plus I like him better, and his quest rewards are massively better. (he also has 2 quests instead of 1)

I chose Hermosa, Barbatos, the dude that isn't Igor, and the dude that isn't Wesson.

I think next time I'll choose Wesson, but the other dudes will be the same. Igor is such a snake... You may say the other guy will kill you while you sleep, but Igor is a poisoner and prepared to kill his current master, who has the same disposition as him... so what does that say about him?

Hermosa, because she's hawt, and the dude that isn't wesson, because I don't want to have a mother cluck running around cleaning stuff and nagging at me about her husband. And Barbatos is the better alchemist, that was pretty obvious.

igor and the other guy are both psycho murderers... both are evil, both worship evil... neither will kill you because you are a dragon and they are bound to a magical sentient island that teleported them to itself and will strike them dead at its whim should they not serve you. (or should you chose the other person to serve).

To be fair, if you metagame, none will kill you so it comes down to rewards.

Trainer: Hermossa = more skill points as rewards than slayer

Necromancer: Igor = Magic armor for creature, other guy = physical armor for creature. (Both give 2 skill points for quests)

Alchemist: Barbosa gives more skill points as rewards. Allen brew has some bugs that can make it impossible to complete (and I still don't know what it does); and allen requires you let him have poition of wisdom instead of drinking it yourself.

Enchanter: Guy with wife gives more skill points as reward.

I chose Hermosa although it was a tough choice here as they are both likeable but I thought she may be more interesting. I felt bad after I found out how Kenneth ended up on the Island. I enjoyed her quests.

I chose Allan because although he is useless I thought he deserved a chance and perhaps he would make up his skills if he was grateful to be alive. Besides that Barbatos had an attitude from hell and his personality sucked whereas Allan is cheery and lovely.

I chose Wesson because although he is slightly less skilled I could never have lived with myself given he has a wife who would have to mourn him if he wasn't picked.

I chose Igor because his character intrigued me and Jonelath gave me the feeling I might wake up with my innards stitched in the wrong way one day.

Radcliff gives 2 more mal gems; Jonalath gives more points. But, I didn't see much difference in my platforms with anyone. Is there a software glitch here?

Alan makes "Alan Brew" which is a 36 to full armour rating.

I thought so too, first time through. But turns out Alan makes a better potion! Watch out for the obvious, usually it's the wrong choice!

Thanks, didn't realize Wesson was better with armors, which I need too. Am just replaying (3rd time) and am on Sentinel Island deciding who to pick this time. Think I'll go with Wesson as if you save and reload enough times you can get three or four malachite gems at every mine and I had plenty left over at the end last time.
