Archmage set is for mages and it's in the first or second Black Ring fortress, you know, the portals in the Orobas Fjords. Make sure to do a full sweep of all the islands and open all crates, chests etc to find as many set items as possible.

You slash em. You put points into weapon specialization (if you want the best damage, you'd probably best choose two-handed weapon), and max out regenerate/life leech. That's vital. Nothing can kill you anymore if you get good armor ratings and have regen/life leech maxed. then you can just go melee all the time and hack away. It's not one-shot killing like magic blast, but you're no glass cannon either. Starting at lvl 28, I really never took any more damage as a human until i hit the last fight. If I did take some damage (mostly from rangers) I regenerated quicker than they could damage me, so my health never dropped below 95% anymore.

Spare points you put into skills like Rush Attack, or whirlwind, which is convenient for catching runners, or fighting multiple foes. No high mana skills except summon skills. At later levels you wont need the healing ghost, but summon demon will really help kill stuff and doesn't deplete your mana pool.

If you want really high damage, you're better off picking mage, I reckon. A warrior can't do the damage a mage does, not without having to go up close and being just as fragile as a mage. So the DPS warrior/rogue class is really not an option in this game (sadly). You'd just be crippling yourself. The good thing is you can still kill stuff fairly quickly without using tons of mana.

And as a warrior (to me, the greatest advantage) you can shift out of dragon form wherever you want without being scared to end up between a nest of Black Ring (actually I preferred that), because even at 20% health they can't finish you off. Which means you start fighting, and at the end of a fight, you've regenerated all your health so you can take back to the air and kill more ballista towers.

bleed and skills like that are worth putting maybe one point or so in, but I definitely wouldn't max them, unless you have too many skill points.

About that, definitely Mindread powerful people. the rewards are much higher than a couple thousand xp

found that an interesting read. im having lots of difficulty in the orabas fyjords as a warrior.

i think ive gimped it by choosing wrong skills. heres an approximate run down of my skills at lvl21.. see what you think.

dual wield - 6 points
whirlwind - 3 or 4 points
rush attack - 3 or 4 points
lockpick - 3 points
life leech - 1 point
wisdom - 5 or 6 points

how would i respec if thats wrong?
wisdom is supposed to be the most powerful skill in the game because of the added levels it will give you??

i tried that suggestion. made no difference at all from what i can see.

against the goblin groups of 6xlvl 20+ (these are the goblins which lead to a mine of some sort with a beholder boss in), consisting mainly of mages, i get nuked from all angles and die.
i simply cannot kill them quick enough, and life leech + regenerate at lvl5 (the max i can do) doesnt heal me for squat in comparison to their combined damage output.

against packs of warriors that do melee i can withstand just as much as i did before, but now my damage output is gimped.

my damage, having spent only a couple spare points in dual wield specialisation, is only 72-88
thats using the best 1-handed sword + 1-handed axe ive found.

whirlwind now does next to no damage at all to the groups of enemies that attack me so its useless having it.
and fatality does not always allow activation even when there is only a pixel left of an enemies health.

Being a pure strength warrior is very hard to play. You can't do significant dmg to kill fast the imps in the Orobas Fjords and lots of monsters there attack you with magic or other rang attacks. It's unfair frown While as a warrior I had to lure the imps one by one and (IT WAS A REAL PAIN!) as a mage one fire wall and the whole group dies. What's the point if you become godlike in high levels with all that regeneration and life leach stuff? A mob does dmg next to none to a high lvl mage who kills groups of monsters ridiculously fast? :| Still haven't tried the inteligens warrior thou...

ive managed to scrape out a couple more levels. (now 25) and have invested those points into firewall.

the battles are easier... not because firewall is doing much though, but simply because im 2 or 3 levels higher than the enemies now.

there really is a cut off point in this game where stuff either doesnt hurt you at all, or stuff one hit kills you, and it seems that point is 1 or 2 levels higher or lower.

i dont think skills mean jack tbh having played around now for hours with a gimped character. i think level in relation to enemy is everything.
