Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Pedestrals in depleted ore mine

Taking the elevator down in the depleted ore mine, I come across three pedestrals.
Are they good for something or should i just forget about them ?

use the elevator to go one level below that, you will find 3 books on 3 pedestals, each near a candle stick with either 1, 3, or 4 candles. each book is a different color. pick up the books and observe which color is which.
go back up to the empty pedestals, use them, put the books in matching order based on nearby candle sticks, a chest will appear.

Thanks, I'll try that, but I'm afraid I don't have thos books anymore :o

I would like to make a sidenote on the whole chest-thing... It would seem that you do not always get a chest from solving that little puzzle. On this (my first playthrough) i did the puzzle twice (do not ask why -.-) and i only recieved a chest from out of nowhere the first time, not the second.
