I bought an English language PC version of the game and it came with the code to download the bonus content. Upon visiting the website and entering my code, the file it wanted me to save was (items_Divinity_II_Special_item_5_SP.exe). Running this file howver will not work as it appears to be the spanish version of the file. Is there any way of obtaining the english version? Is it a glitch with the scripting of the website?

Can you try downloading the file again? Maybe there was a typo entering the code, which happened to correspond to the Spanish version? A consistent problem with the site would probably not be fixed until Monday, though.

Does the website where you got the file have a FAQ or support section? There may be a known issue with language detection, or something.

I tried the code several times and it always downloaded the Spanish version. My Spanish is not very good but it was clear that the error stated that it could not locate the Spanish version installed and was thus cancelling the install.

The website did not have much of an FAQ from memory. It was www.divinity2.com/preorder/index.php from memory (At work now so don't have the bonus content slip on hand to check)

If there is no contact info on the D2:ED site, try PMing dtp Betty (or someone else who posted about updates to that site in the topic The Dragon’s shelter is online! [ongoing updates]).

Hello, I'm from Italy and I've bought the premium version of the game..

In this version there's a code to dowload a Bonus (in the description it's stated as an Item added in your inventory) from the site but when I put the Code it download the Spanish version as for the user who started the 3d...

So I get the same error message that the exe file can't find the Spanish version of the game and that it doesn't work with other ones..

Could you help me in some way?

PS: Sorry about my bad english..

EDIT: When I insert my code it download "Divinity_II_Special_item_1_SP.exe" and not "items_Divinity_II_Special_item_5_SP.exe" like the user before.. The number five is downloaded when I don't insert a code..

I have not an answare so there are other people to ask many help on this problem??? I have 4 days to return the game to the gamestop and I prefer an help first to do this. Tanks

Try sending a private message to Lynn, or email support@larian.com; if she doesn't have anything to do with the downloadable items, she should know who to forward this to.
The publisher should also be able to help, and should have contact info on the packaging, in the manual, or possibly on the paper with the code for the bonus content.

Our publisher (dtp) has fixed the problem and the website should fully work now, with the right code/item combination.

we apologize for the trouble that accured with the Italian .exe.
Every other .exe should now be working fine.

Currently we are doublechecking everything around the Italian one and get back to you as soon as possible.

I've bought the english standart version of Divinity 2. Is there a code for these special items in my version too? Or are they exclusive to Italian and Spanish versions? By the way, I'm a little disappointed by the paper quality of the manual and the box. And still shopto sells the PC version of Div 2 in Wii section. UK distributor of Divinity 2 is very passive about the distribution and advertisement I think. Such a shame for a quality game.
