Since i started play this game i always thought if the animation i see when my character climb stairs is correct.

I don't know how to explain it in english, thats not my native language. Just download that movie i recorded with Fraps and see for yourself.

http://rapidshare.com/files/318755769/dv2_ani_stairs.7z
or
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUVDb-31_ok

I want to know if it is right? Everyone see it that way?

If that is right, i realy like if the developers add a smother animation there.

I tried downloading it (from the first link), but the file was corrupt here, and I could only extract 32 MB of the video from the 36 MB 7z file (which neither GOM Player or VLC could play). Not that it matters, though, as I don't have the game, and don't recall much stair climbing in any gameplay videos, so couldn't tell you if what you see is normal.

EDIT: I deleted the mediafire link, it was broken.

After watching the YouTube video, the extra little bob down and back up when the character shifts to the left when climbing the ladder does look strange. It isn't as noticeable with a high camera angle, but certainly stands out when the camera is near horizontal.

EDIT: If that is what the animation looks like for everyone, I hope the North American release and next patch fixes that. The second German patch improved some animations, so hopefully they did another pass looking for problems. It is not a huge deal, but it does stick out, and makes the game look less polished.

My machine is slow, because of that the movie recorded with fraps looks like if it has "cut" some frames. Runing the game without recording the movie make the strange "bob down and back up", as you said, more noticiable.

After watching the video I don't see what the problem is? confused

There is some slight clipping in each frame but nothing that is worth complaining about.

I probably just don't have as high standards as you do but if that's all your problem is I wouldn't worry about it. wink

and btw....I don't get the clipping but I have a:

Intel E8500 dual core
ATI HD4870
4gig RAM
windoze XP
Creative X-Fi audio
and some other blah blah......
what do you have?

make sure there are no programs running in the background when playing the game.
I would normally recommend you install the latest video drivers but if you have an ATI card I don't recommend that as I have found their latest drivers to be problematic.

Processor: Intel Celeron 420 1.6Ghz (Single-core based on Core2Duo)
Memory: Generic 2GB DDR2 333Mhz
VGA: ECS Geforce 8600GT 256MB PCI-E
OS: Windows XP SP3 32Bit

The problem i see and you can see in the video is that the character climb some laders of the stair, then it "shakes up and down", then climb more laders and "shakes up and down" again.

Your cpu is below minimum specs and the video card only just makes it.

That's probably a big part of your problem.

OK, thanks. Then it is because of my system specs.
