Really, Larian people, what the heck were you thinking?

This is no way to end a game.

There is nothing brave or creative about it. This is just playing the same sort of cruel, final irony your writers like to frequently play on the NPCs of the game, but this time on your devoted player, who just invested 50 hours of his life into this.

It could have been justified as the ending for a half-game, where you have the next chapter ready for you immediately, or in a month or two, allowing you to retake possession of your destiny. But a Divinity 3 will only happen in years, and maybe never, you can never know with videogames.

You left a bitter taste in this player's mouth, and one that will not subside for a long time. I will feel it every time i hear of Divinity 3, and when the time comes, i may just tell myself - why bother, when all my efforts are to be turned against me in the end? Thid is not empowering fantasy - this is nihilism.
