Me too had in the beginning many questions ... but probably all the answers would come later (my experience in Divinity II !) on in the game IF you explore as much as you can
Sometimes I though:
"What must I do now???"
... But when I look the second time better, speak with NPC's ... or read books, reading NPC's Minds or my Logbook over again, I find new "things to do" ... give it a try, it's full worth!
