I was watching the 'Return of the King' extended edition yesterday, with the Director/Writer commentary on. Peter Jackson made a Star Wars reference, mentioning that the orcs that capture Frodo (that specific group) are like stormtroopers. They are very feared, but don't hit anything and always get killed.
