I just picked up the English version (in Australia) yesterday and had the following problem:

I could start, and play the game, and even save. Automatic, Quick and Normal saves all worked for the first few times, but after a few saves *EVERY* save starts failing as corrupt

The corrupt files usually started happening before I even left the first tutorial area, but once I made it to the first zone and started getting corrupt saves as I arrived

Checking the save files in AppData, instead of being ~1.5 meg, they were only a few K.

I was JUST about to post a plea for help here, when I saw a post about running as admin and a comparability mode (to fix crashes and some issues with persisting game settings, not the same issue) which I tried. Since then the saves have worked perfectly (and now are almost instant, where as before even when it was successful would take 2+ minutes to save)

You set the compatibility modes "Run as Administrator" and "Disable Desktop Composition" and hopefully that will help.

Instructions
Right-click on the Divinity II: Ego Draconis icon on your desktop
Click on Properties in the menu that pops up
In the Window that comes up click on the Compatibility tab at the top of the Window
On the Compatibility tab click the box next to "Disable Desktop Composition"
(For Vista and Windows 7 users) Also click on the box next to "Run as Administrator"
After that click on the Apply button at the bottom and you are done.

May help someone!
