Lack of a save system is hardly abusive, and while some of the responses here could have been more sympathetic, they were not hostile.
There are going to be some people who are not sure about the game and don't want to repeat the beginning of the demo if they die. That may mean a lost (or delayed) sale, or they may attempt the demo again when they have more time or patience. I am sure Larian and/or the publishers are aware of this possibility, and would not have removed the save feature if they didn't have some reason to believe it would increase sales or decrease piracy (more likely the former than the latter), or something.
