Well the dvd i bought has corrupt data so i cant install thise files:

Divinity II - Ego Draconis\data\Win32\Packed\Textures.dv2
Divinity II - Ego Draconis\data\Win32\Packed\World\BrokenValley_2\Main\002-TextureSet.dv2

Considering the fact that its textures the game is freakishly ugly. =/

Was wondering if anyone could upload the files in question, unless this is illegal ofcourse. Just dont wanna wait for monday where i can contact the place i bought it from, and then have to wait for it to get exchanged.

Or could someone tell me if there is a repair/dl function somewhere that doesnt require my dvd?

Any help is appreciated.

If you have not done so already, try a different optical drive (or different computer), if available. A different drive by be better able to read the DVD, or better at error correction.

I don't have the game yet, but if those files are too large to email (or upload to a site like RapidShare or Megaupload), a program like ICE ECC may be able to help. If someone with the same version of the game uses the program on their DVD to create some error correction data for whatever archive/install file(s) the problem texture files are contained in (or the files directly if they are not compressed), you may be able to recover those files off your DVD with relatively little data being exchanged.

There is a third party texture mod for D2:ED. If you don't mind the download size (1GB), that would probably fix your problem playing the game.

Did you try manually copying the texture files off the DVD to the hard drive? If there is not a physical problem with the DVD (ie a scratch), that may avoid whatever problem the install program had. Did you try reinstalling, making sure to shut down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) first?

I have the same issue, textures.dv2 and 002_textureset.dv2 is reported as corrupted during install (and also dialogs.dv2). I bought the game at GamersGate so the issue has nothing to do with media or drive.

I'm on Windows XP Professional 64-bit Edition, 4GB RAM, big harddisk with plenty of space, drivers are up to date, I really don't know what to do. I even uninstalled my antivirus (Avast) to see if that helped, but no.

Did you try a clean install of the game? (uninstall, reboot, make sure the game folder is gone or empty, shut down all non-essential programs, and reinstall)

Does GamersGate's download/game manager say the downloaded file is ok?

Disabling the real-time portion of anti-virus programs is a good idea when installing large programs from a trusted source, but the anti-virus program itself shouldn't cause a problem, unless something is seriously wrong.
