Just bought this broken pig today. Very excited to play, was totally enjoying it for the first couple hours. Then came out of a door in the ground in a field, and returned to the camp, and all the doors were either bricked over or just a black area where the door should be. wtf? I now can not go into the barracks at all. >.< I've reloaded a previous game save, and low and behold... now they are hosed as well. /sigh
Earlier, before the disappearing door bug took place. I had bought a few things from a vendor and the animation totally locked up. I could hear my character walking and such, but she would not swing her weapon or anything else.. animation just stuck. Just to see what would happen, I went outside ( and yes, I could still open doors and loading the next area didn't fix the stuck animation) and ran down the hill to engage in combat, the goblins attacked, but I coulnd't be hurt, I couldn't swing my weapon, or anything else, such as shooting off spells. I was able to fix this by reloading a previous savegame... but only to encounter the un-fixable disappearing door problem. I've tried reloading to the beginning save games and the doors aren't there now as well O.o
I also can't wade in the water anymore... it lags and tosses me back out onto the bank everytime I try, even in streams I could previously cross. I can't anymore >.<
This is the first broken game I have bought in a very very long time that I simply can't play without some major patching....the last broken pig this wounded was "Pool of Radiance:Ruins of Myth Drannor" and anyone that played that game probably still cringes at the very name.(great game btw after ALL the patching came out MONTHS after release)

I have US PC-dvd version 1.0.12.52 straight off the shelf at Best Buy.
I have read alot of the other posts on this forum in the tech area and can't find a fix.
I assure you I have updated drivers for everything.
Windows 7 64-bit
QX9650 extreme
nvidia 275
4 gigs ram 1600Mhz

anyone with any suggestions other than "wait for a patch" feel free to respond. Maybe I missed a post with a fix frown

Btw... I really like the game when it is working... I just need it to work ALL the time. And shame on the devs for putting out a broken game like this... I could have waited a few more months for a completed game instead of a beta version in the stores. After reading the Xbox 360 version not working properly :o for shame!!

Please fix this soon, I'll put it on my shelf and keep checking for a patch, not gonna hold my breath.

update.
rofl .. started a new character to see how far I could get... played about half an hour... only to get the un-ending loading screen while trying to enter one of the cellar doors out in the field. Although I enjoy reading the tips while loading... /sigh yep.... pop coaster till a serious patch comes out.. I've just moved my opinion of this game to alpha... beta is too much credit.. pfft..

I made a post on Steam about doors disappearing as well:
"Alright, so I'm playing, maybe 50 minutes into the game after the intro area where you are suppose to go to this town to speak to a knight. I'm in the town, I enter the barracks, speak to buddy, I go back outside and begin to talk with everyone around. After doing so I wanted to go back to the barracks and all the doors transformed into bricks... Yup bricks, I look around and see all the houses where the doors once were are now just black... Unfortunately it won't allow me to enter into the abyss. I reloaded my last quick save and auto save in hope that will reset it which it doesn't. I exited the game and restarted computer, tried again, same thing. It won't allow me to take a screen shot, when I paste it in paint, its just black. I made a save game right before entering the town and all the doors are normal so I will have to replay the last 30+ minutes which really sucks and I'm sure this won't be the last time either. Anyone else have this issue? The game definitely needs a big update/patch, something tells me that won't happen for quite awhile."

Hope someone, somewhere can help us with this.

If you don't overwrite your savegames, you can avoid the doors disappearing issue. This includes not using the quicksave feature at all. The devs are fixing it on 360 (no ETA on the patch) but haven't acknowledged it at all on the PC version.

The infinite loading screen is another issue, I believe there are other threads discussing it.
