How would you like it if your arrows travelled straight and you had to manually shoot people? That's hard.
I play Guild Wars on a regular basis. The arrows straight and they arc with a higher arc dependant on range and type of bow. It has one of the best ranged fighting systems I've played in a RPG.
So yes I would love it if arrows travelled straight.
