Ahhh. Turning down the difficulty helped immensely.
Tip: Before the tower (
and before getting much past level 10) make sure to hit the valley and search for monsters and quests. After getting to ~level 18, I found that I missed a dungeon or 3 and a few groups of monsters throughout the valley.
With the difficulty turned down I was able to take the monsters in the cave near the beach in the Fjord (
pretty much the only open place with monsters before taking the tower). I was getting around 1700xp+ each. Quite nice
Oh and firewall is just
deadly (
finally figured out THAT is what my enemies were casting to kill me).
