Hello ppl

I just installed game
And i have problem with renderer.
I have windows 7 64-bit.i tryed to reinstall game few times but i still have same problem.
(My PC confg. is ati radeon 3600 series, 2Gb RAM memory and AMD athlon 4000+ dual core 2.11GHz )
Also i tryed to install new drivers ,but still it doesnt works.
pls help me i wont to play that game !!!

i also tryed with older drivers 9.9 but still it doesnt works

Have you tried different resolutions? ('Couldn't create renderer')


In Vista / Win 7 the configuration xml file is in the folder below. It can be edited in Notepad, or any other text editor.

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Profile


or for anyone else with XP

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Profile


You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders.

i found thatfolder ,when i open "graphicoptions"(XML document)with notepad.
what i need to change,ScreenWidth and screenheight ? or anything else

I believe you just need to change the screen width/height.

Things you can try to make the game boot:

- reducing your desktop resolution and then booting the game.
- installing directx9 (even if you have dx10 or dx11 does not mean dx9 is installed on your pc)

Please let us know if this fixes the issue.

Nope still doesnt work .i fully reinstalled every fucking driver and Dx
and nothing happen

Could you please send your dxdiag and graphicoptions.xml file to support@larian.com ? We'd like to have a look to see if we can find what's causing the problem.

i fixed problem and i can play it now


this is what i done : go control panel --> Appearance and Personalization --->Dispay
----->my problem was that size of text was on Larger 150% and changed it to medion 100% and game works now perfectly

Thanks for the update. I wouldn't have thought the Windows text size setting would effect the game (I know of a couple utility programs that freaked out with large font size settings, though).

Yes, I have the same problem in Vista 32. Changing the font size to default allows the game to load properly. Unfortunately, I need the larger fonts and must restart the computer every time I need to change back and forth in order to play the game.

I am also unable to run the game in my normal screen resolution (1680-1050) although all the other available resolutions work.
