There is a skill to dual wield, which reduces the penalty for equipping a weapon in your off-hand (IIRC dragon slayer skills, far right column in the skill list). However, you should just be able to equip another one-handed weapon in the second hand equipment slot (at least you can if you train as a warrior in Farglow).

Yea not sure how the dual wielding works either. I took ranger as well and early on I was not able to dual wield. Then later on (maybe level 15 or so not sure) I decided to give equipping another weapon in my off hand a try and it worked.
Might be a level requirement or something.

There is also a dual wielding skill in the skills tree on the far right hand side. I just recently at level 22 raised mine up to 2, it reduces the off hand weapon penalty.
You start out with 1 in all those skills on the right if you trained with all the trainers at the beginning, that's what I did. If you did not I think you'll need to raise that to 1 to get dual weapon capabilities. Not sure on that though but it makes sense.

Also when trying to drag the weapon in the slot make sure your mouse pointer is centered over the slot.
I've found it is a little touchy in equipping in that if your not exact it will not let you equip.
Had that trouble with a few things, make sure your right in the darkened area when releasing it.

Oh and once you do get 2 weapons equipped try switching them around to each hand and look at your damage stats each way. One way usually gives far better damage over the other because of the off-hand dual wielding penalty.
I was getting slaughtered and switched my weapons around and the difference was night and day because I had my high powered fully enchanted weapon in my off hand and it was getting a 70% I believe it was at the time penalty. So it was only 30% of it's full power.
Raising that dual weapon expertise skill reduces that penalty.

There no level limitation on dual wield, you can dual wield even at level 1. As long you find 2 1 handed weapon which can be equip, you can dual wield. Majority slayer tab skill will start with rank 1 on them, and it applies to all weapon mastery passives. You will only start seeing effective of dual wield once the skill reach rank 8 or higher, where there no more penalty apply on your offhand.

But if you are playing a ranger, it best advise to max your ranger strength first than before touching on warrior skill, as ranger basically need moving around, avoid being getting gang bang.

Hmm no limitation, wonder why I was not able to do it early on.
Probably because of the little mouse touchyness I described I'd fathom to guess.
Need to be pretty much dead center or it rejects the object your trying to put in the slot.

If all else fails run grin after you pick off one guy. They'll only follow you so far before they hit an invisible wall they can't go past. Then work in and pick off another before the melee guys get to you and go back to safe zone to heal or recharge. I've used that trick/some might consider cheat plenty. silly

Yea that is the same problem I had on PC version that is why I said there may be some kind of requirement or something.
I don't know either all I know is it would not work for me either early on.

You are putting it in the empty hand right. Not sure how a xbox controller works as I've never used one but maybe it is high-lightable or something to choose the hand you want the weapon to go into.

How'd you get 2 weapons in Farglow. You only get what they give you. A bow from the ranger, some stick or something from the mage and a sword from the warrior. No quests that I know of and the goblins only spit out a puny amount of coin or limited potions.

There were things to buy but you do not have enough money to buy anything. I only got 200 and some coin on my start. Women characters get less money or something. rolleyes

Anyways Slyvannas I'd look into finding out if there is some way to select which hand the weapon goes into. Seems your main hand is selected so it drops the weapon there and takes the one you have equipped away.
Has to be some way to select which hand the weapon goes into. Wish I could help more on that but never even used a xbox or PS. PC FTW! groovy

right click on the vase to the right of the door to enter the temple, OK, lets say that you want to make F2 the dual weild, in the game hit F2 then the "I"key and look at the bottom of your picture that shows you the current outfit, all you need to do is drag the 2nd Weapon down to the other slot(picture of the hand) and release it, works at all levels, there is a penalty in the lower levels though I think, use low melee, high magic in the second slot

There locked chests in farglow which can give you random items and it wasnt that hard just to simply look for another 1 handed weapon. You can see within the screenshot how many gold you I had there. There are quests which you can select gold as reward oppose to just 50 exp. And by giving the novel to the merchant earn you some gold as well.

As for equipping your off hand weapon, its as mentioned above. You just need to drag your 2nd weapon to your off hand and that done. Is that really that hard to be figured it out? I dont know how it been done over 360 version as I dont one, but in pc version, it as easy as that.

I play on xbox and I'm very satified about my xbox-version! I love this game and the interface of the xbox by this game is good in my opinion! Simply and good!

But I understand when you're "newborn" regard RPG on xbox (am I right?), some explanation is a nice thing wink

Okay, you're playing the game. When you push on the controller the "start"-button (right near the Xbox-button), you can choose in a menu (whith the D-pad or stick) different menu's (Inventory, Logbook, Equipment, Save Game, Map, etc) ...
Go to "Equipment" and with the D-pad or stick, select an empty weaponslot.
With the A-button you can go further select a weapon in your inventory, with the B-button you can go back/undo if you wish... Adn always to make all gearslots empty and ful again with other gear.

Look also on the sreeen up or below... There stay things like Y(button) Charm (if that equipment you select on that moment have an empty charmslot), B Back, etc ... But by a trader, Y-button is for start trading!
That's the same as you speak to a NPC... you can see that blue X-button for Mindreading if that's a possible thing wink
So all possible interactions you can do and the controller-button you must use for that action, you can "see" on the screen.

Succes and welcome on this forum smile
