If you had a creature with you, defeating jagon aint hard at lvl12. I kill him easily with bow without even using a single healing potion. There are terrain which you can shoot an arrow or 2, then take cover behind some rocks to prevent his arrow. Creature will help a lot here by distracting him or even become the tank.
