Oh well, I updated my sound card and chipset drivers, I reinstalled SP3 (I had uninstalled it while troubleshooting something else and forgot to reinstall...), uninstalled Sound Taxi and it still happens.
Everything runs fine but as soon as I enter a building (or that trap door near the shrine outside of town), I see the loading screen for a few seconds and then the game crashes with the same message.
Still, I thank you for the help, it couldn't hurt in any case to do these updates. Maybe I'll wait for 1.04.
EDIT: Upon reading another CTD thread, maybe my codecs are faulty...*Sigh* Computers are so much fun! Technology in the service of man, they say.
