I installed the K-Lite Codec Pack for windows 7 x64 and it removed some 'spoilt' codecs. I don't remember installing any codecs so i don't know how it got there
i can play the intro movie using windows media player but when i start the game i still can't get past the intro cinematics.
Any ideas?

Try installing those codecs from wmp 9 that were posted earlier in the thread...
Not sure but maybe that will help. I was able to install one set but not the other.
-- Might try re-booting the comp so all the changes take effect???
