Well Verdistis isn't in D2:ED AFAIK, and the screenshots were posted by Larian very early during development, so it is hardly a big stretch that they are from a test area.

Also, they were posted 56.5 months ago... with keywords like Verdistis, Aleroth and screenshot, shouldn't you be able to search for it?

I don't care to re-read the Impressing Screenshots topic, but it was mentioned by another forum member not too long after that about it being a test area: More Screenshots. Somewhere between those two posts is something official.

I think when the new expansion comes out [if it comes out i hope] players will tak a role of a new character,who will probably have to save the divine n the dragon knight

But I do. And I did read. The fact is:

No one from devs ever said it's a test area.
So, perhaps, we will get those areas in next episode/game :P
