Yes you can do quests for your trainers
If you do all quests for Alchemy master you will get some special potions(mix that with herbalism and you will be invincible)
Combat trainer will raise your skill cap to 10,13 and 15
Your necromancer will get you tougher creature and you should be able to buy some fearsome body parts of high quality
and your Enchanter will help you with some better armours
