I just sent bunch of gems to the battle tower and i went back to get some malachite but i don't know where they went. can someone help me?

Is the malachite for that blindness quest? because enchanting and alchemy can take ingredients straight from the chest. Anyway the chest is near Sassan in the master's chamber.
