Thanks for the tips! I'm thinking of going with a warrior/mage hybrid - I don't think you can really have just one type and be successful. That was my problem. I was getting demolished at Lovis' tower because I didn't have any other spells but warrior and no bows
so I'll be equipping mage spells and will make sure to keep some nice bows and have one or two ranger skills on hand for when I get to the skeletons and bandits. That's as far as I made it. I knew I was doing something wrong and then had an 'AHA!' moment last night.
There's so many different ways to play, it's really endless...
