I'm not that far yet, but can you avoid them and come back later?
I'm not familiar with any cheats/trainers (playing on Xbox), though someone did mention
Cheat Engine for gold (and presumably potions, etc), but whenever I've run into tough areas there has always been somewhere else more suited to my level.
