Understand I've been at this game for about a week now, so the thought of losing ALL of the save data due to the patch screwing up has me at my patience' end. I'll start from square one.

Divinity II- PC Version, Windows 7 User

Beginning of the game was pretty much no problem other than raw difficulty even at normal level. Taught me to save practically every engagement, which was important- Tutorial through Battle Tower had relatively few to no crash issues, once the step into Fjords commenced it was like the game suddenly couldn't function. I couldn't walk out of a map and into another without saving at the door without the game crashing randomly. Once the game started doing it's crash cycle I'd have to restart the entire computer to get it to stop- which time quickly began adding up.

Finally I decided I'd had enough and figured a patch or something must have existed, low and behold I found 1.03 and tried patching. During the patch it told me that it didn't have access to the .exe file. I clicked okay, not thinking, and the patched finished with the game not being able to open AT ALL. It seems it either deleted the old and replaced it with something unusual, or the remainder of the patch all relies solely on the .exe file and thus are useless.

Panicked I read through the files trying to find the saved data forms so I can uninstall and reinstall with the patch and continue on where I left off... but I can't find them. Does anybody know where to look or am I about to find a new game due to frustration overload?
