I think we've reached that "Stuff it, do whatever you fancy" moment on this question. Personally I shove 3-4 points in and look for items that grant the other two (they can benefit you earlier than spending a skill point would otherwise allow).
I like the idea of levelling faster. And one can't argue against that fact.
Still, it may be that you'd rather spend the points elsewhere, but choosing wisdom is better than leaving them spare, as has already been mentioned.
