I actually ran into an issue last weekend using the Dragon Stone. I used it to go to my battle tower and I kept running extremely slow. Fortunately I keep alternating saves before and after killing each creature. When I reloaded the game, I used the Stone while I was standing in water... so I'm thinking that may be why I was running slow in the Battle Tower.
