TIP/HINT:
when I play Divinity II and I'm stuck - I mean, I have no idea what to do next - I ALWAYS go looking to my Logbook : (un)finished questpages or dialogs with NPC's ... or look by Quest-items in my Inventory is also very good idea!!
.. it is worth to look/read things over again. smile

I too standing at the entree of the HaLl of Echoes and was thinking:
"And what now!?" .. But when I go looking in my Logbook and quest-items ... I was finding the plot ... smile

I sometimes forgot to look in my Logbook when I'm searching "what or where or who or ..." and I experienced I spend much more time to search without looking in my Logbook biggrin
