Chest and book located in tower next to Orobas hatch - Can anyone tell me how you reach this chest? I have jumped from every angle and tried dropping from dragon form too, but wouldn't allow me to. Must be simple since no one else has asked - I can't find any info from search. Can't believe I can't make it up there, I finally think there must be another way besides jumping up there, but can't figure it out.

Thanks for the forums, I have been reading them since I started playing about 2 weeks ago. Thinking about getting Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity and playing them too, i have enjoyed playing this so much.

You have to jump on the small bars until you reach it, but I never found the key, which annoyed me cause it took a hell of a thousand reloads to get there. You really need to find the right moment, position and movement to get there. (I get there by walking from the wall to the middle when I'm on one of these small bars, and then jump and turn to the next one. Bit tricky though...)

The Question isn't how

The key for the chest is in the other tower, in a small chest on the uppermost (IIRC) platform.

To get to the chest, jump over to the last section of the ramp, then jump for the first beam where it meets the wall; if you overshoot a little the wall will stop you. Save once you make it there, then turn towards the next beam and jump over to it; move slightly forward and then jump, but don't keep the forward button / stick direction pressed the entire jump, or you will go past your mark (I had to reload several times here). I kept close to the wall, as the beam was slightly thicker there. Once you reach the second beam, save again; getting to the chest is fairly easy at this point, but if you miss the timing on moving forward and jumping, you can fall off rather than jump (umm, so I've heard). A high camera angle may help getting the timing and positioning correct (ie to make sure you have room to move forward as you jump).

For all that effort, though (I jumped over to the chest before I had the key, so had to do it again), the only thing I got in the chest was a couple potions, and the book was not unique (don't know if it is random, but I got the 'life the universe and everything' book, which was great, but I had seen it before).

Thanks so much - - think I will skip this for a while - burned out on jumping lol, will come back to it later. Thought it might be a spell book or something special for it to be so hard to get to.

Unfortunally the chest haven't a great treasure insight ... frown ... And that was for me a little bit disappointed ... all the effort to reach the chest twice! smirk .... first without key, than with key ... many times falling down ...

On the Xbox I discover it is handy if you use the trigger when jumping (the trigger to focus on thing/enemies!) !
When I use the focus (to have a look over my shoulder) it goes really better for me to jump and reach te next "platform"!
I used it also by all other puzzle where I must jumping from platform to platform!

And further on Raze have given good tips for jumping!
thanks, you're great.
