WARNING! This topic is for players who already finished the game Divinity II: Ego Draconsis. There was a topic with suggestions to Ego Draconsis so I thought that there can be another refering to the upcoming addon. So... Ego Draconsis ends like it ends and nobody had the opportunity to kick Damians ass Instead you fight your previous hero (the Divine) and your best friend Zandalor.... Besides you have a feeling that all your game struggle was invain cuz you endup in some sort of trap and find out that you've been tricked by Ygerna all the time... Preety bad huh? But I hope Larian can do alot to heal our bad feelings due to this ending I'm sure that each of us have big expectations for the addon now. Here are mine: 1) Take your time and realease an even better product. As i said in another topic: I would much rather wait for a better game without bugs than play asap an unfinished version without your great ideas! So please have that in mind and give us the best you've got! 2) What's next? - plot solutions. The Divine is alive! and so are we! If we are trapped in a place between the living and dead world I would really like to se Lucian and my Hero alive again!!! Maybe Zandalor or Patriarch could save our heroes? or even the Divine himself? Anyway it would be the best thing if I could fight toogether with the Divine again and have my vengance on Damian!!! War is coming so I would really like to see the Dragon Knight, Lucian and Zandalor fighting toogether agains the army of Damian and just kick their ass! Please give me that opportunity and I'll bless you for the rest of my life :P 3) Feel the dragon! Hey! I am a dragon! So please let me get a chance to burn down some trees will ya?!!! ;> 4) Better main quest's with interesting plot solutions - less optional quest. The most interesting part of the game is the STORYLINE!!! I don't care about optional quests. Damian, Lucian, Zandalor, Patriarch and the Dragon Knights are my biggest consern, so please have that in mind and give us the best you've got! That's it. I'll let you know if I'll come up with some other ideas. 5) More mind breakers plz Regards! Tulkas

Keep in mind this before getting any big ideas, though: It's scheduled for an august/september release and that looks pretty solid as at this point the entire expansion pack is already playable.
That means that a lot of super-complicated or difficult features are unlikely to be posted. Here's a suggestion: A Jukebox option at the main menu to let you listen to any of the game's songs at will. If the song names are spoilerific, perhaps only unlock that after the expansion has been finished once?

Or Larian make a full cd or cdRom or dvd with the music on? Cheers

To end the feud between the dragon knight and Commander Rhode they may have already done it but just reminding them....erm give us the ability to rebuild broken valley and the sentinel island it really sucked when i couldn't go back to elsa, just know i won't really be bothered if there are more outposts and cities coming up to give us a real feel of how big rivellon really is...just don't cut us off from the rest of the world, i hate that. Lastly more terrain for the dragon to fly.

I thought Stabbey's idea about a jukebox would be an AMAZING idea. I also just thought that having a type of quest like this: Something like protecting a castle or something in a wave based survival thing would be kinda kool.(It might be a stupid idea but I just felt like sharing)

Jdog619 - I think It's a great idea! But wasnt there a similar quest to your idea in Ego Draconsis with Zandalor and another mage?

The Unarmed skill looks pretty cool, but it suffers because the game is designed around weapons which add damage. I think that in the expansion, a tweak should be made to Gloves and Leggings - they add X amount of Unarmed and/or Unarmed (Magical) damage.
Don't make new items, just add those attributes to the original items (so you can start the original game and have those bonuses).

But think of this: if YOU choose another "title description" it will be also clearer for everybody Like for example this: [suggestions] Divinity Expansion/AddOn wish list

I can't do that anymore coz there is a limit of a time while you can edit your post. 24hrs AFAIK. Also, at that moment there was NO info about sequel, not even a little. So, my choice was a common name for a thread. I totally see no point in existing of two similar threads - it is really confusing.

Okay, I can understand Kein, no problem... but maybe some of the Larian Team can change your title? Larian?

There is no point to change the topic title, better to merge the threads.

All my suggestions are changes that should apply to the original game as well.
One thing I thought of after making my suggestion, but forgot to post was that one problem with the Unarmed specialty is that your Strength is capped at 100, and once you hit it, you will never be able to increase your damage ever again.
As I said above, the solution is to make "Unarmed" class weapons and/or give gloves/leggings a damage value that they add to Unarmed attacks.
More suggestions:
1. Make it easier to find Alchemical formulas and potion ingredients - Almost all the formulas are random drops, it's hard to find anything in particular. What's worse is that ingredients are hard to find and vendors don't seem to restock ingredients, so after you've picked every plant in Broken Valley (which there aren't all that many of), you're essentially out of luck until your battle tower.
2. The Battle Tower is too far away - The Battle Tower is great, it's fantastic, full of all the things you could possibly want. But you get it two-thirds of the way through the game, at level 17-20 or so, and some things are desperately needed before then.
2.A Skill Trainers One problem early on is that if you make a mistake with your build or have a regret, you can't do anything about it. There needs to be a skill re-trainer in the Broken Valley village. Have the price for a respec there start low, 250 gold (5000 is too much early on), and doubling each time thereafter.
2.B Storage - Crafting ingredients Another issue is storage. There isn't any, and the space you have is limited. This isn't a big problem except when it comes to alchemy and enchanting. All those plants, ores and gems take up too much space to lug around, ESPECIALLY since you're not going to have any formulas to use them on. On my second and third characters, I've started just leaving behind anything I find which I can't use in crafting right away. This means that each time something comes up in a random crate or barrel, I need to stop playing and write down the location until I CAN use it. If there was a place to store things, even if it was just for crafting, I could pick up everything. Alternately, you could make crafting ingredients take up no spaces in your inventory, but somehow I don't think you'll do that.
2.C Viewable Formulae for Alchemy/Enchanting - PLEASE, add another tab to the "Logbook" screen which shows you all the formulae you've learned. There is tons of space for more tabs. Right now, the only way to see that is to trek all the way back to an enchanter or alchemist. This is a non-issue when you have your Dragon Stone, but before then it's obnoxious. If in the field somewhere I can immediately check to see what I've learned, I can decide if I should pick up that plant or gemstone in the random barrel, or leave it there. It would also remove the need for me to play with a printout of the formulas from the FAQ sitting on my desk.
3. When trading, Let us see the required ingredients for a formula - When mousing over a formula in your inventory, you can see the ingredients required, and if you have enough or not. When trading with a merchant, when you mouse over a formula, you can't see the required ingredients. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????? That's annoying. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to see the ingredients required for a formula when trading, that's the entire freaking reason for merchants to sell ingredients in the first place!
4. Let us kill Willy the House Salesman Scammer - We're subject to not one, not two, but THREE un-frickin-skippable cutscenes with this annoyingly persistent jerk. His only purpose is to steal the player's money, but since the game keeps mentioning the battle tower all the time, it's pretty obvious that it's a scam. If I had the option to murder him, I'd take it in a heartbeat. He must die for the sin of unskippable cutscenes. I'd prefer if I had the option to kill him in our very first meeting (and every meeting). You don't even have to hire a voice actor for additional lines, just have the option trigger combat (please make him no more than level 7).
5. Sassan the Trader - How come she has a neutral opinion on us when trading? I think we've done more than enough to get her to like us.
6. No more pissing creature - It was funny exactly once, the first time. Having the creature piss constantly is annoying. It's especially annoying when you're trying to have a conversation with someone. Please make that a VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY rare event, or give some menu option to toggle it off completely.
7. Improved Treasures from Mind-Reading - In certain places, you can mind-read people which will cause treasure chests to appear. But the stuff inside there typically isn't any more worthwhile than random loot from the hundreds of barrels and crates around. Some of those should always contain at least random magical item of some quality in addition to some other random stuff (of any quality). Of note is the Flying Fortress person who has some "rare herbs" in a chest if you mind-read them, but you only get common herbs, which are worthless because at that point you have a herb-fetcher and infinite herbs.
8. Level Scaling of enemies - One problem with the level scaling in Orobas Fjords and the flying fortresses is that there isn't any. The Flying Fortresses enemies are all roughly between level 26 and 30, but going in at level 26, just doing one will get you a couple of levels, and the more you do, the less threatening the enemies are, which is boring. Increase the level of the enemies in some flying fortresses, or let them scale up with you somewhat.

Nice!
I would mention the following:
The ability to climb - like ancient Prince of Persia game. - Jump and pull up. The ability to crouch. The ability to swim underwater.
This abilities make it possible to implement hidden caves or passages - on the cliffs or underwater, in tombs or Towers\castles. With treasures or dangers inside.
Also there should be more unique items - like swords, armor etc. But please, less of this suffixes and prefixes - some item names sounds really ridiculous. I mean it is ok for some normal, rare, magical, etc items but to a degree.
More social skills - like persuasion etc. maybe I am missing something but personal skills with alchemy, forging and enchanting would be nice. So you would not have to depend on someone else. Same with necromancers etc.
Also some weapon and unarmed combos would be nice. Not just special moves, but things you can perform with normal attack. And yes - I am all for some unarmed combat development.
More kind of weapons would be a nice thing to see - like Halberds, Staves, Glaives (normal and two sided - like blades on both side of the staff) and others. Like different kind of swords (katanas would be awesome) and also daggers and something like punch blades - kattars for example. Make it more diverse.
And finally... How about making a twist - our protagonist during the quest for beating Damian becomes a true dragon or some such and helps to restore draconic presence in Rivellon. When I say true dragon I mean not just powers but also the form (4 limbs plus wings - I know, I spoke of it two years ago) XD
This and stuff people are suggesting with a proper implementation would be the best of the best stuffs.
P.S.
And some mounts would be nice (for example when you need to travel far? but you can't or don't want to use a portal or a dragon form.
P.P.S.
More draconic form involvement!!!

The number selection could loop backwards (on the Xbox hit the left pad direction) to go from 1 item to whatever the maximum is. Also, you may want to take 2 or 6 items out of the battle tower chest, but you're probably never going to need exactly 37 of anything. The number selection could progress as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50 (or increment by one when the button is pressed, or 5/10 if held down). On the Xbox the right and left pad directions go up or down by 1; the up and down pad directions do nothing, but could increment by 10 (on the PC you could use a Shift/Ctrl key plus whatever the normal key is to increase the increment).
Since a variable increment is fairly common with zoom levels, scroll speeds, etc in many programs, I assumed the lack of such features selling/moving stuff meant Larian didn't figure people would be doing a lot of selling (so it wasn't a high priority), or they wanted to discourage doing so.
