After mindreading Ragnar, the key to that door can be found on one of the horns of the dragon statue you need to climb up. There is nothing special or of high quality in the chest, or the couple crates/barrels in that room.

yeah already found the key smile at first i just missed it, kind of hard to see it, noticed only when got on the very top of horn and the lighting changed a bit. Found some formulas for potions, one of em for armor resistance, so its good thing as im playing unarmed this time and only had the lowest quality armor potion recipe smile

I wonder if I can reach the chests without going quickly die .. I mean the chests there are standing a little bit further in the Temple of Doom, there where you get in the water because the rocks are too hot! But I see 2 chests standing on these hot rocks ... !

But is it possible to reach te chests and go back alive?

Maybe I must take great potion(s) to stay alive? But further on: is it worth the time and potions to loot the both chests? Are these chests open or locked?

Many thanks in advance!

With the first chest, the best thing I got from it in 2 or 3 tries was a healing potion, which I needed to use anyway to survive getting there and back, so I ended up skipping it. The chest at the far side is easier to get to, and I got a fairly nice enchantment formula (I think maybe a highish level damage or life line). I was convinced the chests must contain something of value, being hard to get to, so was determined to get something out of one of them (the second kept offering me potion formula I already had or enchantment formula I wouldn't use, but after 6 or 8 tries I got something decent.... though I think I found as good or better of the same type of formula not too long after that).

Thanks Raze! wink
I go try it next time! biggrin

So this chests aren't locked? Or must I have enough points in the Skill Lock Pick?

You may or may not need Lockpick to open the chests, I'm not sure; they don't require keys, anyway. I maxed Lockpick early, and didn't pay attention to the messages for chests unless they failed to open.
