All my suggestions are changes that should apply to the original game as well.

One thing I thought of after making my suggestion, but forgot to post was that one problem with the Unarmed specialty is that your Strength is capped at 100, and once you hit it, you will never be able to increase your damage ever again.

As I said above, the solution is to make "Unarmed" class weapons and/or give gloves/leggings a damage value that they add to Unarmed attacks.

More suggestions:

1. Make it easier to find Alchemical formulas and potion ingredients - Almost all the formulas are random drops, it's hard to find anything in particular. What's worse is that ingredients are hard to find and vendors don't seem to restock ingredients, so after you've picked every plant in Broken Valley (which there aren't all that many of), you're essentially out of luck until your battle tower.

2. The Battle Tower is too far away - The Battle Tower is great, it's fantastic, full of all the things you could possibly want. But you get it two-thirds of the way through the game, at level 17-20 or so, and some things are desperately needed before then.

2.A Skill Trainers
One problem early on is that if you make a mistake with your build or have a regret, you can't do anything about it. There needs to be a skill re-trainer in the Broken Valley village. Have the price for a respec there start low, 250 gold (5000 is too much early on), and doubling each time thereafter.

2.B Storage - Crafting ingredients
Another issue is storage. There isn't any, and the space you have is limited. This isn't a big problem except when it comes to alchemy and enchanting. All those plants, ores and gems take up too much space to lug around, ESPECIALLY since you're not going to have any formulas to use them on. On my second and third characters, I've started just leaving behind anything I find which I can't use in crafting right away. This means that each time something comes up in a random crate or barrel, I need to stop playing and write down the location until I CAN use it. If there was a place to store things, even if it was just for crafting, I could pick up everything. Alternately, you could make crafting ingredients take up no spaces in your inventory, but somehow I don't think you'll do that.

2.C Viewable Formulae for Alchemy/Enchanting - PLEASE, add another tab to the "Logbook" screen which shows you all the formulae you've learned. There is tons of space for more tabs. Right now, the only way to see that is to trek all the way back to an enchanter or alchemist. This is a non-issue when you have your Dragon Stone, but before then it's obnoxious. If in the field somewhere I can immediately check to see what I've learned, I can decide if I should pick up that plant or gemstone in the random barrel, or leave it there. It would also remove the need for me to play with a printout of the formulas from the FAQ sitting on my desk.

3. When trading, Let us see the required ingredients for a formula - When mousing over a formula in your inventory, you can see the ingredients required, and if you have enough or not. When trading with a merchant, when you mouse over a formula, you can't see the required ingredients. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????? That's annoying. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to see the ingredients required for a formula when trading, that's the entire freaking reason for merchants to sell ingredients in the first place!

4. Let us kill Willy the House Salesman Scammer - We're subject to not one, not two, but THREE un-frickin-skippable cutscenes with this annoyingly persistent jerk. His only purpose is to steal the player's money, but since the game keeps mentioning the battle tower all the time, it's pretty obvious that it's a scam. If I had the option to murder him, I'd take it in a heartbeat. He must die for the sin of unskippable cutscenes. I'd prefer if I had the option to kill him in our very first meeting (and every meeting). You don't even have to hire a voice actor for additional lines, just have the option trigger combat (please make him no more than level 7).

5. Sassan the Trader - How come she has a neutral opinion on us when trading? I think we've done more than enough to get her to like us.

6. No more pissing creature - It was funny exactly once, the first time. Having the creature piss constantly is annoying. It's especially annoying when you're trying to have a conversation with someone. Please make that a VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY rare event, or give some menu option to toggle it off completely.

7. Improved Treasures from Mind-Reading - In certain places, you can mind-read people which will cause treasure chests to appear. But the stuff inside there typically isn't any more worthwhile than random loot from the hundreds of barrels and crates around. Some of those should always contain at least random magical item of some quality in addition to some other random stuff (of any quality). Of note is the Flying Fortress person who has some "rare herbs" in a chest if you mind-read them, but you only get common herbs, which are worthless because at that point you have a herb-fetcher and infinite herbs.

8. Level Scaling of enemies - One problem with the level scaling in Orobas Fjords and the flying fortresses is that there isn't any. The Flying Fortresses enemies are all roughly between level 26 and 30, but going in at level 26, just doing one will get you a couple of levels, and the more you do, the less threatening the enemies are, which is boring. Increase the level of the enemies in some flying fortresses, or let them scale up with you somewhat.
